A List on Yearly Blogging
I can't believe it. I let my Blogiversary pass without even a mention. That's right folks. I have been blogging for over a year now. WilkeWorld is a little one-year-old smashing chocolate cake with chocolate frosting all over its face. Yippee!!!
I present here a list of what I've learned about the blogosphere in the past year. Thank you all for your support.
1. If you don't comment they won't come. The "I'll pat you on the back if you'll pat me on the back" thing is alive and well in the blogosphere. A big thank you to all of you who show up here despite my bad manners on occasion.
2. There is a lot of interesting anagrams at work in the blogosphere that I was never aware of as a casual observer. LOL. SAHM. SAHD. IMHO. LMAO. LOTFLMAO. EOM.
3. Getting tagged the first thirty times was cool, but then it just got oppressive.
4. Stats were at one time very exciting. I remember my first comment was from an anonymous source and I just about wet my pants I was so excited. Now, they are amusing but not particular exciting (the stats that is).
5. I can blog for a complete year. Indigo has ridiculed me for be a slacker and not posting every day over the last year but the fact that I am still blogging is remarkable for me. Other than my marriage, I doubt I've stuck with anything for a full year.
6. The blogosphere is full of some really amazing people. I don't think you all realize just how much I enjoy going to your sites and reading about your lives, your failures, your triumphs and the inane and crazy things you do on a day to day basis. You are a second family of sorts.
7. I am a computer illiterate. Thanks to Cybervassal, I have this wonderful template that I enjoy immensely, but I can't seem to figure how to do much of anything else. I am getting there, but I understand my limitations.
8. The Wife still supports my blogging addiction.
9. The Wizard still tolerates it.
10. The Sea Cow still rules.
Thanks everyone for a great year.

Congratulations on your anniblogiversary. My site recently turned one without fanfare as well.
Michele sent me.
Happy blogoversary! :) I hate being tagged for memes too. Bleh.
Here from Michele's!
ah how cool is that..
over from the other Michele's.
How lucky for us that you joined the blogosphere. It's nice to know you through this unique and cool medium.
You're comment on my blog made me laugh so I had to come over and check out your writing. I love to laugh, and all those who make me do it!
Am happy for you. I still have many more months ahead of me to celebrate my blog anniversary.
Congratulations! I am here from Michele's.
King, Congrats., I have made an observation of sorts, it appears to me that your best blogs are when you ask for imput from bloggers. Opinions, Lists, etc. Secondly, your blogoshpere likes to talk about distasteful things, Touchdown and her toilet training, Bradey and his world of bowel movements. Some of your more base habits. I personally like to uplift, inspire, challenge, and motivate....by the way how are you doing on your weight lose contest...do you forfeit or what... Seriously King, I look at you sight when I turn on the computer. I feel like I have gotten to know quite a few of the subjects in WilkeWorld....When you pass 60, you need a lot of motivation. Thanks again........
Wooohoo! Happy one year!
Hey hey hey "Happy Bloggiversary!"
well! happy one year to you!
Congratulations on your bloggiversary! Did your blog get you a gift? ;-)
Even I don't post on a daily basis anymore. Except the questions, if I don't put up a new question every day people email me and ask where the question is.....
I hope we aren't the side of the family that intermarries, can't match our clothing properly, have bad teeth, and rifles on our kitchen tables.
Here is a big pat on your back for blogging for one year!
Congradulations King, Keep on blogging. I love blogging but it is taking up so much of my time that I can't seem to get other things done. I am trying to just blog in the morning and before I go to bed. I have housework, my calling and grandkids that keep me busy and really needs more of my attention. If I don't come by as often, you'll know why. Say Hi, to the Wizard for me. I wish he would get his own blog....Keep up your writing and don't let go of your dream...
Happy Anniversary! Your blog list looks a lot like mine would look! Glad you still are enjoying blogging!
HAPPY BLOGIVERSARY!!!
I'm proud to say that I believe I was one of your early readers. Thought you were a find then. Still do.
But more importantly, the kind of person you are just comes shining through here and in the many comments you've left on my blogs.
You are one of the bloggers I'm just oh-so-glad I met and hope to know forever more.
Congrats, Mr. Jones, the King! I've enjoyed getting to know you & your family very much through your blog. I always enjoy your writing & perspectives.... Cheers!! Here's to the next year...
happy bloggiversary K! I ca't believe it's been so long. I'm glad you and The Wife are still up so making us laugh, it is always enjoyable.
You know, I'm new to blogging and I barely know what a meme is, and so far I can say I'm not fond of them either, but I thoroughly enjoyed your list of what you've learned in one year of blogging. Nice site, I'll return.
Here from Michele
K, one of the most difficult things in maintaining a blog for over a year, would be coming up with new and different subjects, I think you have done a suberb job at that. I think I could be interesting for about a month, then I would struggle. In you run shy of interesting blogs, let me share with you my 1 month supply...Horse racing, the differences between women and men (more that the obvious) Political spin on the news. Bashers and Pumpers in the stock market. Growing old gracefully. The losing of a loved one. Looking back on how well you may have taught your children and what you would do differently. K, I have given you some ideas, and I am spent, I don't know how you keep up with the blogs. I need to go and let my mind rest........
I don't know what EOM is. Hope I didn't just swear or insult somebody.
Congrats! Mine is in March.
Congrats on the anniversary. Now here is something weird. I honestly thought up until about a few months ago, that you had been blogging longer than I. Guess, I was wrong on that one. Here's to another year. That is if I don't give up completely. You may have noticed my dry spell. Been reading a lot lately. Which takes me to you next post....
