A Note on Slumber

It is now 8:00 a.m. and the girls from teenager's slumber party are still slumbering. However, at 2:00 a.m. they were still chatting away. I am tempted to unleash the fury that is Touchdown down upon them. Oh, how I wonder what the result of such an experiment would be.

Note to self: Palace is not a good place for slumber parties.

fyi, if those slumber party girls kept you awake until 2am, then you need to get them up at 8am. the palace is a great place for a party, the princess and her guests just need to understand the palace rules.

Ahhh....Special guests in for the night. Are you sure they went to be as early as 2:00 am? What time did Touchdown wake up? I bet your teenage guests could help mow the castle grass and do a little edging. IT sounds like a good survice project to me. I'll bet Touchdown could do a great job waking them up. Is the Queen still sleeping? Hummmm! How did the King get hoodwinked into this job?

actually, this is what i did when my oldest daughter had kept us awake. we got up at our regular time, say around 7am, make all the noise we want in the kitchen, cuz her bedroom is over it, turn on the radio as loud as we can, and then we go outside, cuz the music is on too loud! she later complained about how inconsiderate it was to leave the radio on especially when we weren't even inside, that's when we had our little talk about what being inconsiderate really is. it's a little harder when your princess has a guest, you don't want to embarrass her in front of her friends, but there will come a time when you'll be able to explain it to her, sometimes you just have to wait it out.

I want to add a different slant to this. If I were the king, I would just sit back and smile and enjoy the noise. For several reasons, firstly, they are in your home where you can observe what they are doing, Secondly, they feel comfortable in coming to your home, enjoy, Thirdly, in not so many years, they will be gone and you will say to the queen, I wish they were home. And the only noise you hear, then is the snoring of your partner. So just sit back and enjoy, if you must use passive agressive behavior to confront the teenage princess, just let touchdown loose. She will equalize the playing field for all of you.
