A List of Puerto Vallarta

The Wife and I tried to escape from our humdrum existence and take a five-year anniversary trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico this past week and this is what we learned.

1. We are really addicted to our children. We missed them dearly.
2. Prices in Puerto Vallarta go up exponentially when the cruise ships show up in the harbor.
3. The economy of Puerto Vallarta is intimately tied to alcohol consumption (not a good mix for two teatotalling Mormons).
4. $2.50 is a lot to pay for a can of Diet Pepsi at the Marriott Casamagna Resort.
5. Waterfalls and beaches are cool no matter where they are.
6. I probably forgot to tip somebody.
7. Baby turtles released into the ocean are darned cute.
8. Humidity and fat guys are a combustible mixture.
9. Mexicans can make pretty good pizza (go to Tony's Pizza at the Marina to find out).
10. Don't ever believe the guy who says he has the "best" price. He doesn't.

Travis, I am back, I like your take on the identity of the Wizard. My family thinks I am an old duff, I don't like to take trip just to be taking a trip. I love my family and where ever I go I hope they come with me. I attended a Washington Redskin football game this weekend, It was the biggest beer party that I have ever attended. Foul language and rude behavior. Thanks but no thanks I will never support them again, or professional sport. Parking was $30.00, a soda drink was $6.00 and hot dog was $7.00 the tickets were $80.00. Never again, I will watch it on TV and if that doesn't change I will stop watching totally.

Wizard, it was a pre-season game. The prices, foul language, and rude behavior would have been twice as bad had the Cowboys been there.
I just wanted to comment on #1. Yes the King and wife really missed their children so much, they didn't even call them during their five day excursion. While they were gone they missed, the teenagers first day of HIGH SCHOOL/ College, their Touchdown cried herself to sleep 3 nights in a row (apparently so upset that her mommy and daddy hadn't called), and their youngest boy learned to ride a bike (something no parent wants to miss). Top this off with the fact that they left them with head lice and you get the "Worst parents in Puerto Vallarta" award.
Quote from the teenager, "I will have to have a sit down talk with the wife when she gets home"

If I was the king, I would be so very careful what I blogged on these days. Jedora Rules is out to make up for all of the days he was beat up by the King. Tell me more about the Parenting (Not done) that went on during my absence. Must I go and take care of touchdown and the others, I think I can. I am bald and head lice wouldn't bother me.

Hmmmm... The Wizard and G-pa Jones both comment separately? And here we all believed that they were the same person... Makes one think.

Re #10. I learned in Korea, that if you want the best price, just start walking away. Oh, I should show the the $130 leather jacket that I got for $75. Too bad someone borrowed it and never returned it.

Travis, I have contemplated your theory that the Wizard and the King are the same person. Without the help of pychonalaysis, I think you might be on to something. I think that the Wizard is one guilty of second guessing everything the king does. Thus the contraversy is set. One being the good and the other representing the bad. It is a classic. I will watch more closely as this unfolds right before our eyes. Now, Jedora Rules enters into the discussion, this too might be another personality of the king, only in another form. Very Interesting.

Lucy, don't you leave, you are one of the good people of this world. Just for your information, The Wizard and Grandpa are the same person. I don't know if Travis is buying all of this but it is true........

Yes, I know that Grandpa and the Wizzard are the same person, I just don't know if the King is making you all up. I happen to think that Grandpa is pretty neat and I want him to be real! In my heart, I think he is.....

To all of the bloggers, the bishopmom is a sister to the king. She has left the safety of the world of Utah, and has gotten alittle liberal in her way of life. My only hope is that her husband will remain conservative and will hold to the principles of right and wrong. She lives near Washington D.C. and thinks that all good comes from there. Now that I know what she thinks that young children should be exposed too I will arrange other fantastic trips for her children to watch. Loved the tickets, hated the experience......
