A Note on Birthdays

My birthday is coming up on December 10th and I don't really know what to ask for. The Wife has subtlely suggested that I give her a wish list of sorts, but I pretty much have everything. I like writing, reading, hiking and about every single sport known to man, but I always just buy the things I want. I have no clue what to even suggest.

Knowing this, I challenge you all to help me come up with something I should ask for for my birthday.

Today's question: What do I want for my birthday?

Oh, and I almost forgot. The Wife's birthday is just days after mine on the 13th. Holy Shimoly! What am I gonna get her?

Get an XM Radio. Especially if you like sports. They have really good deals on them right now.

Josh, you do actually live, it is good to hear from you. Your suggestion of an xm radio is like giving a diabetic, candy. Tom, doesn't need a thing like that. Here is a list for what I think would be a nice gift. A. An understanding heart for touchdown's sake. B. A gift certificate for him to take his family out to dinner. C. An apron, so that he will be reminded to have dinner ready when the wife gets off work. D. Rubber Gloves, it won't be long before Brady and Touchdown will be being potty trained at the same time. E. A book entitled, understanding Dora the Explorer made easy for adults. F. And lastly, a new edition of National Geographic, that may be the closest the king will get to a vacation for the next 16 years.

Don't worry Grandpa I have this one covered. The King and I are giving each other ceiling mounted storage bins for the garage. This will help facilitate the garage cleaning that will be taking place in January. It just seems to me that when you have a 3 car garage you should be able to get at least 2 cars in it.

I think you want an ipod, and your wife, she just wants a relaxing day at the spa.

How about getting yourself a box to hide in the garden (preferably underground and very secure*) in which to conceal your secret stash of spicios?! Meanwhile it should be noted that the queen gets her most longed for desire ~ it's up to you your majesty ... room to park the royal "limo" seems sensible to me ~ a bit like the year Simon and I boutght each other matching blow torches, for the creme brulee!

*like a squirrel

Ceiling mounted storage bins? How romantic! I suppose if that's what you really want, the King will buy it, but Dinner and a relaxing night on the town sounds good to me. Grandpa is itching to baby sit and I bet you have a nice dress that you could wear to the Symphony. (The dress is for the wife, not you K.) Maybe Grandpa could watch the kids overnight and give you a whole night alone..a nice bottle of sparking grape juice and some chocolate, a nice fire in the fire place, soft music...Get my drift. What ever you get, have a Happy Birthday!

Lucy, Lucy, Lucy, your suggestion was taken seriously, and yes, I will be baby sitting. They are going out to dinner, and then coming home and having a nice relaxing evening watching videos and we will have the grandchildren at our home. Lucy, Lucy, Lucy watch what you wish for.........

Once for our anniversary I got my wife a document shredder... Hey, that's what she asked for. She uses the thing daily and has actually thanked me for it several times... I'll never understand women!!!

You can't go wrong with diamonds for women... or whatever her favorite gem is... and chocolate. Am I right, Mrs.?

As for you -- books, hiking gear? a gift certificate to your favorite store?

Happy Birthday!!

My suggestions:

A novel writing course from Gotham Writers Workshop

An iPod shuffle (or any iPod actually). If you have one already - - a gift certificate to iTunes.

Books about writing - - I really enjoyed Stephen King's "On Writing"

For your wife, I'm at a loss because I don't know her. Jewlery is always a pretty safe bet . . .but personally I'd prefer a session or two with a personal trainer or a gift cert for B&N or Amazon. Luxurious clothes are also good - - ANYTHING cashmere. I'd never buy it for myself, but would absolutely love getting it as a gift. I think the GAP is selling a cashmere hoodie that I'd just love. Can you tell us more about your wife - - age, likes, hobbies?

A gift certificate (for spa, department store or Amazon) wrapped in a mushy love note for her.

For you, would that do too?

Hi there blog owner! I am searching blogs to find information and sources to help with my website:http://www.horse-lover-gift-ideas-central.com/horse_figurine.html My site is fairly new about 8 months old and have a google pr of 3 and get about 50 people a day to visit. My site has Joint diseases and is all affiliate merchandise.
I have been in MLM companys for the past 8 years offline mainly and have never made a dime. This is a new frontier for my wife and I and don't have very much experience but a friend suggested searching blogs to get ideas about how people sale and also what kind of information they offer their customers and clients. We are begining to make some good money selling Joint diseases related articles but I also want to offer my customers some quality information to go along with good deals. If you make it to my site and can offer some constructive critisizm I will take it into consideration or if you have some ideas it will be greatly appreciated. Remember we are on a budget and we do all the work ourselves. We have alot to offer in this general area Joint diseases and building. Thank you for your time.
