A Note on Archaeology

Whew.

My wife has told me she is very disappointed that I am not blogging as frequently as I used to. Well, who knew she even cared? I must say that with my father and my brother both blogging, the Jones family name is still in the blogosphere. I don't know that I would claim my brother after his most recent blog about the ladies room, but he is a blood relation.

As for me, I am fine and the family here in the castle is fine. The Teenager is busily involved in yet another year of High School Swimming (she placed 2nd in the most recent 100 M Backstroke event) and Touchdown is busy with swimming lessons (the Wife practically lives at the pool). Lil Indy is now in full destructo mode as he travels from one room to the other destroying things. He has emptied out the Wife's purse a mere hundred times.

As for the Wife, she has had a rough week. Her uncle passed away this week (a heartfelt condolences go out to her extended family) and her work has been a struggle (she deserves a raise). I love her very much and support her in everything she is doing.

As for me, I am loving my job. It is amazing how much a great job can influence your personal well-being. Just this week, I found a piece of Southern Paiute pottery, an Archaic arrowhead called a Sudden Side-Notched, an arrowhead called an Elko Eared, and a series of Rock Art Panels that were well known but never recorded. It was a lot of fun. I hope to figure out how my camera phone works so I can show all of you my finds, but until then I'll just talk like an archaeologist and bore my wife to tears.
